Lovely hosts who provide a very tasty breakfast each morning, delivered to your table at a time that suits you. They go out of their way to be helpful and the well-kept garden has swings for the children. The town has all the facilities you need and it is easy to connect to Calais, Dunkerque, and St Omer by road. Plenty of leisure activities to keep you occupied. Even the neighbors are friendly!
Difficult to find in darkness, better signage would be helpful. , if you opt for the sofa bed, there are no soft furnishings to sit on.

Our stay at the bed and breakfast was excellent value for money. The room was spacious and cozy, with a lovely terrace overlooking the beautiful garden. The location was ideal, with easy access to Calais, Dunkerque, and St Omer. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing a delicious breakfast that was delivered to our table at a time to suit us. The well-kept garden had swings for the children, adding to the overall charm of the place. The village itself was quaint and had all the facilities we needed. We also found the neighbors to be exceptionally friendly. a highly recommended place to stay for both short and long-term trips.
The only aspect that could have made the breakfast even better would be if there were more options for hot dishes.

Enjoyed hiking and cycling in the area, especially when I got lost and ended up in a natural landmark. The terrace had lovely views of the well-kept garden, which I pretended was my own.
Oh, how thrilling it was to sit on the sofa bed with no soft furnishings and feel like I was sitting on a pile of rocks. So luxurious!

The bed and breakfast apartment at La Wattendamhuys Watten is exceptional. With a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and terrace in a protected garden. the proprietor is very nice, and the breakfast is delicious. the picturesque canal and cute village are a charming backdrop for a relaxing stay. Parking is secure, and the owner is friendly and helpful. It's a great choice for a peaceful getaway.
Finding the place can be a bit challenging due to the lack of clear signage.

I recently stayed at La Wattendamhuys for a night on my way to Calais, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the bed and breakfast apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated. I loved the fact that it included a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and terrace in a peaceful garden. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, with fresh bread, croissants, and delightful goats cheese. The charming village with its picturesque canal added to the overall ambiance of the stay. Highly recommendable altogether!
Strongly recommend this hotel.

OMG, I can't even! The hosts were amazeballs, serving us a mind-blowing breakfast with fresh bread, croissants, and scrumptious goat cheese, all at a time that suited us. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even though we arrived late. And can we talk about the garden? It was like stepping into paradise, with swings for the kiddos and soft fruits right next to our outdoor dining area. The towels were super plush, the area had everything we needed, and the Saturday market was jaw-dropping. Plus, secure parking for our car was a huge relief. And let's not forget the super-friendly neighbors. This place totally rocked our socks off! Can't wait to come back.
